Press “Enter” and type the next footnote number, such as “2” if you started with “1.” Type the corresponding footnote information. Type the information that goes with the footnote, such as a reference about an author or company. Type the number “1” (omit the quotes) or whichever footnote you started with within the publication. Press the “Enter” key to drop to the next line. When the cursor transforms into a plus symbol, click and drag the mouse to form a text box.Ĭlick inside the box, and then type “Footnotes,” “End Notes,” “References” or your preferred phrase, if any.
